In January 2026, the Institute for Freshwater Fish Futures (IFFF) and the Coastal Relationality and Regeneration (CORR) Lab at Simon Fraser University hosted two days of events featuring Indigenous Knowledge Holders, artists, community leaders, and others sharing their work on freshwater and ocean fish restoration, relationality, and care. This was part of hosting the Fish Futures collective from Aotearoa on their Hikoi to Vancouver this past January.
